How to Layer Like a Pro

November 14, 2016

The weather hasn't been as bad as I expected these days in Ontario. I can still get away with a few layers and a light coat and I am enjoying every minute of it (*flashback of me shovelling the driveway at -30 degrees*). Here are my two ultimate go-to cold weather layering techniques.

In tights we trust. I am known to rock tights even in very cold weather because I just find them much more comfortable (and cuter) than pants. I like to layer fishnets or knee high socks on top of opaque tights when I feel like I need a little bit of rock and roll in my life. Also, let's not forget about fleece lined tights which in Canada can literally save your life. Literally!

Button me up. I love me a cute button-up peeking from behind a cosy and comfy sweatshirt in the winter. Go for a sweatshirt dress to satisfy your inner fierce urban princess and roll out the geek chic with a chambray button-up.

What are your go-to winter layers?
